Documentary by UT Austin|Portugal doctoral student Patrícia Nogueira to have its international premiere in Austin on Thursday, April 24.

Four inmates. Two of them are allowed conjugal visits. Another requests that hers be cancelled. A fourth asks to join the program. Four stories that intersect inside the Special Prison Facility of Santa Cruz do Bispo, Portugal, where time is set by the repetition of days. Four stories about four women, who reflect and share their intimacy.

Director Patrícia Nogueira has always kept one foot in journalism and the other in cinema. Born in Oporto, she has an MA in Documentary Film from ESMAE and is currently working on her PhD in Digital Media at the University of Porto and the University of Texas at Austin. She has worked on both shorts and feature films.
