The UT Austin Portugal Program announces a Call for Co-Promotion R&TD Projects – International Partnerships, under Portugal2020.
This Call intends to finance international Research and Technological Development consortia, for a period of 3 years, led by Portuguese companies and involving non-corporate organizations of the National Research and Innovation System and research teams at the University of Texas at Austin.
In the scope of the UTA Portugal Program, projects must contribute to consolidate the intergovernmental Atlantic Interactions initiative, by addressing the topics identified for the third phase:
– Space-Earth interactions – research in complex systems engineering and science, aiming at an integrative approach to space technologies, climate and clean energies, terrestrial and ocean science, together with emerging methods of scientific data evaluation;
– Medical Physics for Emerging Therapies – research in medical physics and radiotherapy, contributing to the development of advanced cancer therapies;
– Advanced Computing, Quantum Computing, Data Analysis and Visualization – data analysis and visualization, exploring the use of advanced computing features for big data in various domains, including cities, agriculture, fisheries, earth observation and security;
– Nano Materials for New Markets – Projects involving engineering materials focused on the discovery and development of new Nano materials with a range of specific properties for applications in lighting, space, sensors, internet of things, information technologies including quantum computation, diagnosis and therapies medical, chemical transformations and efficient materials and collection and storage of energy.
The Call is open from March 13 to May 31, 2019 (19:00 Lisbon time).
