Short-term Research Internships at UT Austin  – Beneficiaries & Hosts

Support for research mobility between Portugal and The University of Texas at Austin is one of the Program’s biggest hallmarks.

To continue this legacy, the UT Austin Portugal Program ran a Call for Expressions of Interest for Short-Term Research Internships at UT Austin between April 27 and June 13, for faculty, researchers, or Master’s and PhD students affiliated with a Higher Education Institution, R&D centre or an R&D-performing company established in Portugal to cross the Atlantic and spend two to three months at the University of Texas at Austin to undertake R&D activities.

The program received 29 Expressions of Interest from all Program Areas, with many high-level candidates scoring well beyond the funding threshold. However, only 10 vacancies could be awarded, all of which came to be filled up.

Below you can find the 10 selected beneficiaries that will be developing their research work in one of the best public universities in the United States and immersing themselves in the exhilarating culture of UT Austin’s campus between September and December 2022. Each beneficiary will be hosted by a top-notch expert from UT Austin, which you can also get to know below.
