Leaving a legacy

December 2023

Through these achievements and activities, we are sure that the legacy of the Program will live on through the science produced, the collaborations established, and the knowledge shared. Establishing successful partnerships is a challenging journey that stands the test of time when done right, with passion, vision and trust.

Always creating knowledge. Always fostering change
August 2023
The summer break is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to take some time to rest and recharge. Nonetheless, before we set our out-of-office messages, we want to reflect on the Program’s activity in the past months. We provided our community with opportunities to learn, engage, connect, research, innovate, and grow. We never know what tomorrow may bring, but we can say that we are ready to model the future – always creating knowledge; always fostering change.
Everything Starts With A Seed
We headed into 2022, glad to be celebrating 15 years of outstanding achievements with our community: the seeds we had planted were bearing fruits. As we wrap the year up, we picked this edition to show our readers how we celebrated the Program’s legacy at the Annual Conference and how we are preparing the ground for the Program to continue feeding science-based knowledge into society and helping our projects progress.

Logo and Identity

In order to build a stronger brand, a new logo and visual identity were introduced in the end of 2018. To develop the identity of the UT Austin Portugal Program, two main concepts were used:

  • the metaphor concept of exploring new territory, through learning, researching and experiencing several areas and thus creating new paths;
  • the inspirational concept based on the square, as an analogy of the material and immaterial territory in its creative and innovative form.

The new logo is versatile in a variety of supports, capable of combining itself in order to produce new, expressive and dynamic ways. The logo has two institutional colors: orange and blue – the orange from the UT Austin University logo and the blue from the five corners of the Portuguese flag.

The UT Austin Portugal’s logo should be used in all initiatives, communications and/or projects developed in the frame of or funded through the Program.
