
Clean Energy is a core pillar of Phase 4 of the UT Austin Portugal Program, reflecting the growing need to ensure energy security, system resilience, and sustainability in the face of climate change and increasing societal demands.
Building on the complementary expertise of Portuguese institutions and the University of Texas at Austin, this area focuses on advancing scientific knowledge and innovation across the energy value chain.
Scope in Phase 4
During Phase 4 (2025–2030), the Clean Energy area will support collaborative research, advanced training, and innovation activities that address the reliability, efficiency, and resilience of modern energy systems, with particular attention to real-world applicability and societal impact.
