Overview
What makes an entrepreneur successful? Where do good ideas come from? How do we manage the ups and downs of a founder’s life? These are some of the questions and doubts that entrepreneurs may encounter along the way. To demystify them, UT Austin Portugal Program and TxEEE are launching the first edition of the “From Portugal to the World: innovation-to-business journey” course, starting on May 29 and lasting until June 21.
This online advanced training opportunity is designed for Portuguese researchers, academics, early stage entrepreneurs, and industry professionals who want to take their product to the market.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from Mitch Jacobson – Executive Director of Austin Technology Incubator at The University of Texas at Austin – and Cam Houser – Founder of Actionwork, Entrepreneur Educator, Program Developer, and Facilitator – to take part in various challenges to test, for example, their resilience, ability to resolve business breakdowns and deliver cohort pitches and feedback.
Here’s a sneak peek of what you might expect from this course with Cam Houser:
The curriculum flow from idea-to-launch, with a focus on product/service design for researchers. Participants will learn state-of-the-art entrepreneurship skills to launch their businesses through engaging lectures, hands-on learning, dedicated office hours, and expert mentoring. At the end of the course, participants should have acquired, among other skills, technical-minded knowledge.
All vacancies have been filled in. You may register for this course, but your request will be put on hold. We will contact you if any enrolled participant drops out.
No tuition fees will be charged to Portugal-based participants as UT Austin Portugal is covering all training costs. Therefore, make sure that you can commit to this course if you are accepted into it.
