The 20 million euro project was co-financed by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology, the Portuguese Innovation Support Fund, the Portuguese Energy Efficiency Fund, the European Structural Funds of the North Region of Portugal and the Municipality of Guimarães and the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), which will add 6.95 million euros (US $ 8.3 million) to the costs of the Deucalion.
