    Bio:

Dr. Sandra Gago graduated in Education of Physics and Chemistry (University of Evora) in 2001 and completed her Ph.D. degree in Chemistry at CICECO (University of Aveiro) in 2006. Currently, she is an Assistant Researcher at the Department of Chemistry of NOVA School of Science and Technology. Her main research interests focus on the design and characterization of new functional materials based on mesoporous silica and magnetic nanoparticles with different guests, such as inorganic/organometallic complexes, organic dyes, polyoxometalates, ionic systems, for different applications: drug delivery, oxidative desulfurization, electrochromic/photochromic devices and photocatalysts for hydrogen generation.
